MADRID CENTRO FINANCIERO AWARDED THE PRIZE “TITANS OF FINANCE 2010″ June 8th, Madrid

On its 30th anniversary, the economic magazine ECOFIN Economy and Finance and the Credit Managers’ Association awarded Madrid Centro Financiero  the prize of the ”Titans of Finance” 2010. Mr. Aurelio García de Sola, Manager of the Madrid Development Institute (IMADE) and Vice President of Madrid Centro Financiero, collected the award, which  recognized Madrid Centro Financiero’s work in the promotion of Madrid as a financial centre and placing it amongst the leading financial  centers in Europe and the world. 

During his speech, Mr. García de Sola showed his satisfaction with the award, indicating that “it encourages and motivates us to reinforce our promotion and representation of the interests of the financial centre; a centre, which in the midst of complicated financial circumstances of today, is one of the few that has been reinforced, demonstrating its solidity as well as prudent and efficient management of its financial institutions”.

Madrid Centro Financiero’s main objective is to develop the financial sector’s activity and promote Madrid as an international financial centre. Since its inception in 2007, Madrid Centro Financiero has positioned itself as a catalyst of the sector’s main issues, benefiting from the input of its members, who are the main actors of the financial industry, whilst integrating  the most relevant professional associations of the financial sector.  

Madrid Centro Financiero works in many national and international fronts, collaborating with  Asian and European financial centers’ in joint projects, raising awareness of Madrid’s competitive advantages worldwide. Throughout its three years of existence, Madrid Centro Financiero has consolidated itself as a reference for its international peers, developing at the same time closer links with the association of the financial sector in other European countries, in order to promote common initiatives.
