Board of Directors and General Assembly of Madrid Centro Financiero, May 25th 2010, Madrid

On May 25th, 2010, it was commemorated the Board of Directors and General Assembly of Madrid Centro Financiero, an organization which includes the principal members of the financial activity of Madrid and promotes the region as one of the leading financial centers worldwide and an indisputable stage for economic transactions between Europe and Latin America.

Since its establishment, Madrid Centro Financiero has been building its presence in national and international spheres, working in joint projects with European and Asian financial centres, promoting and participating in events (30 in the last year), developing reports and studies (5 in the last year) and spreading the competitive benefits of Madrid worldwide.

Throughout this period, Madrid Centro Financiero has been established as a reference for its corresponding international institutions, as it stretched its connections with diverse financial associations in the country, to take control over the different concerns of the financial system and stimulate joint initiatives.

Its success in advocating the combining of efforts and ideas to promote its position as a financial centre is proved by the increasing number of members. Throughout the recent Board of Directors and General Assembly, the incorporation of several new Association Members was approved, some of the ones that must be emphasized are the Europapress, and CAF Corporation for Andean Development, and new Honorary Members that need to be mentioned are ASCRI (Spanish Association for Entities of Capital Risk), IEF (Spanish Institute for Financial Analysts), ANAF (National Association for Financial Assessors), UNESPA (Business Association of Insurance), AHE (Spanish Mortgage Association) and EE (Issuers Association), whilst many others in the process of formalizing their incorporation.

All of the experience and treasured contracts of Madrid Centro Financiero have allowed it to be established in Madrid’s General Permanent Secretariat of Business Summits UE-ALC (European Union-Latin American and Caribbean), which will be managed by the Bank of Intra-American Development.
