Madrid Centro Financiero at the international launch of the analysis “Madrid, Taking the Lead in Financial Management” by Capgemini, Deloitte, KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers; Madrid, November 26th
Madrid Centro Financiero presented this morning, on November 26th, in the auditorium of the Madrid Stock Exchange, the main findings of the study “Madrid, Taking the Lead in Financial Management,” conducted by the international consultancies Capgemini, Deloitte, KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers. The study was presented by the Managing Director of Madrid Centro Financiero as well as by representatives of the four firms that revealed the main conclusions reached.
The promotion of the competitive advantages of Madrid has been a pioneer project, as it has brought together the four international consultancies to develop a more representative analysis of the key factors turning Madrid into a very competitive financial market.
Chief among Madrid’s strengths as a financial center are, firstly, an internationally recognized solid banking system, which has managed to emerge stronger from the current financial crisis thanks to focusing on the retail market and possessing a prudential regulation system mentioned as an example at the European level. Secondly, the Madrid market has quality human resources, consisting of internationally renowned business schools, plus a cost-competitive proposal, in comparison with other regions in its environment. Thirdly, logistic infrastructure, as well as leisure and tourism, turn Madrid into a hub par excellence.
Finally, the report analyzes the synergies that Madrid is developing with other financial centers which, along with their ability to establish themselves as the gateway to the Latin American market, demonstrate the Madrid Region to be the perfect ally in the global financial business.
